Licorice the red-winged blackbird was created by Betsy Youngquist and Scott Long. Licorice's human components are old glass doll eyes. The structure beneath the beads is an original carving by Scott. The rest of this bird's surface is encrusted with a myriad of old and new beads and stones in a mosaic process.
